Year 12 Jersey Generator

A year 12 jersey is a class photo, a souvenir and a deadline. Build the design, collect the names and send one clean file to the printer.

  • Class or school name across the chest
  • Graduating year on the sleeve or back

What goes on a year 12 jersey

Most leavers’ jerseys carry the school or class name, a graduating year, a nickname or surname on the back, and a number. Some schools add a crest, a motto or a small sponsor mark.

Decide the hierarchy before you collect the names: the class name belongs on the chest, the individual name on the back, and the year is usually small on the sleeve or above the number.

Collect names without losing your mind

Use one shared list with columns for name, number and size. Lock the list before you start typesetting, and ask every student to check the spelling of their own name.

Long names need a plan: set a character limit, define whether nicknames are allowed, and reserve the longest plate for the longest name in the class.

Approval, deadlines and print files

Schools usually need to approve the crest, the colors and anything that could be read as a school endorsement. Get that approval in writing before the printer starts.

Generate a high-resolution front and back render, and send the supplier a CSV of names and numbers. Leave at least two weeks between the final list and the delivery date.
